Who is screening the new topics that make it to the forums. This last one "Real Sex Partner" is not what I want to see when I log into Chocolate&Zucchini. I'm sorry, but this upsets me a lot.

The post has now been deleted. It was the work of a spammer, most likely an automatic spam robot. Unfortunately, spammers are a fact of life online, and it takes the forum moderators and myself a considerable amount of time to fight them (on the forums and on the blog). I'm sorry if this upset you -- it doesn't make me too happy either!
Generally speaking, when you see a post like this, it's a good idea to drop me an email (or a personal message on the forums) to let me know which forum section it has been posted on, because you sometimes see it before I do.
Thank you! |

We missed that one, but find them frequently and remove them. _________________ "It's watery....and yet there's a smack of ham."

Jenjen - "We" are the handful of forum members who act as moderators for these forums: they have a profile that allows them to delete distasteful postings (immediately if it is blatant porn, after consultation with the other moderators if it is a bit more debatable, such as advertising disguised as a legitimate posting). If you would like to be a moderator, I would be very glad to add you to the group -- just email me! |

Don't know if anyone can check out the topic PVF and tell me what the story is please. I cannot access it and each time I try it asks me for password etc. I am a bit concerned that it might be someone hacking into the site and leaving a nasty "present" for viewers.
Thanks guys. Keep up the good work! _________________ If you cannot feel your arteries hardening, eat more cheese. If you can, drink more red wine. Diet is just "die" with a "t" on the end. Exercise is walking into the kitchen. |

Dear Debbie,
No worries, this isn't the work of a hacker. It was just a thread on the moderation forum, reserved to moderators so they can discuss moderation issues when they arise (so far the discussions are just about automatic spam engines and how to fight them). Such topics normally shouldn't appear for other users, I will look into it when I have a little time.
Thank you for your concern!
Clotilde. |

I would be happy to do whatever I can to screen and delete these messages. I have been really bothered by them. Just tell me what to do and I am on it!
Thanks, Clotilde and everyone else who is concerned about "our" C&Z being bothered with this dreadful stuff! _________________ L'appetit vient en mangeant. -Rabelais |

Just in case you are coming to this thread to notify us about the latest nasty thread I am on it. For some reason I can't delete in the 'Recipes' thread, but I have notified Clotilde of it and she will take care of the situation.
Sorry if any of you were upset by the post.

Thanks, that is exactly what I was coming in to ask. I appreciate your work to resolve this kind of annoyance! |

I think the mods might want to take a look at and get rid of this post too? It is rather disturbing. |
