Hi all. I'll be in Paris for the UK bank holiday weekend at the end of August. I know it's an odd time to go - end of summer vacation and such - but we've been there many times before and are sort of looking forward to a quieter city.
However, we're a bit concerned that ALL our favorite restaurants may be closed. 2 questions: when do restaurants and shops usually re-open for the Fall, and what restaurants worth visiting ARE actually open?
I believe Senderens is only closing on weekends but not on weekdays.
Others I've read will be open are:
Au Pied de Cochon
L'Atelier de Joel Robuchon
La Table de Joel Robuchon
Ze Kitchen Galerie (I believe it's open)
The Brasserie "Flo" and all its branches (Balzar, etc.)
Le Dome is only closed on Sundays and Mondays in August
Le Pre Catalan
Aux Lyonnais closed until August 22
Spoon, Food and Wine opens in mid-August
Mon Vieil Ami opens August 16
Atelier Maitre Albert is closed only the first two weeks of August
Allard is closed the first three weeks of August
Since you will be there at the end of August, you are in luck. Many restaurants are closed until around the 20 - 25th of August, so you'll have a chance to get in.
