Clotilde....congratulations, the cookbook looks great.....I pre-ordered 5 and have already thought of more people I want to give it to! All forum readers should check it out & you too can pre-order....but, alas, we'll have to wait till May to get our hands on it. So BRAVO....I know it will be quite a success! _________________ Make me half the person my dog thinks I am. |

Yeah, I couln't agree more---it is a wonderful cover--bright and eyecatching and Clothilde's smile is infectious. I've entered it into my database to order copies for the store (and myself of course). _________________ Vivant Linguae Mortuae!! |

Aha! So that's birthday presents for Taureans sorted then!
You have it all Clotilde, looks, wit, fabulous writing style... Is there anything you can't do? Apart from training Aardvarks to water-ski... actually I have a feeling you've done that already!
I shall be ordering at least four copies - three for my Taurus friends (they are supposed to love food and music and these three do - very much!) and one for me (why should they have all the fun, eh?)! _________________ Confusion comes fitted as standard. |

Judy- Thanks for the link and the pic. I couldn't figure out where people were getting the heads up from.... _________________ God writes a lot of comedy... the trouble is, he's stuck with so many bad actors who don't know how to play funny. -- Garrison Keillor |

You're welcome, Rainey. I couldn't resist putting the cover photo up for all to see. It's such a gorgeous pic.
Do you get Clotilde's email newsletter that she sends at the start of each month? She mentioned the release of the book and gave a link to pre-order it on Amazon. I'm guessing that's where Melinda found out about it.
And how's this ...

I pre-ordered it a couple of weeks ago, which is crazy considering that it won't be released until spring next year.
Back then there wasn't a cover yet, so I'm thrilled to see how it will look like. Now of course I really can't wait until I get it. |

Clotilde, with your wonderful warm writing style and clearly superb ability, both as a writer and a cook - how could a book by you NOT fulfil expectations.
Even when I am slightly daunted by your recipes, not being nearly the cook some of the people here are, I love to read your words for their warmth and clarity... and the sheer passion for food that you have. I have learned never to trust anyone who has no passion for anything fine and wonderful. These people are grey, they want only to gaze into the gutter.
My dear, Oscar Wilde said, "We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars." You are clearly a stargazer and that is why your work is worth the looking at - again and again. _________________ Confusion comes fitted as standard. |

Hi!! I am an American living in France and am interested in Clothide's cookbook. So what is the difference between the two editions? Is the UK edition in metric/weights/volume and the US in cups/ounces? |
