I guess some of our friends are already celebrating! Carry on with my best wishes. And happy, safe celebrations to everybody in turn! _________________ God writes a lot of comedy... the trouble is, he's stuck with so many bad actors who don't know how to play funny. -- Garrison Keillor |

how many new year greetings shall I send thee all?
why 2007 of course!!!
ah, my beloved Sydney on the eve of a new year ~ we celebrated on a rooftop. danced for hours in barefeet ~ Hey Jude gets me going
Greek meatballs and other various goodies brought by our group...
The Sydney Harbour Bridge celebrates its 75th birthday this year (its nickname is The Coathanger) ~ a very stylised and very big neon coathanger is decorating the bridge during January, the Festival of Sydney month.
glasses raised to ye all....may the year be full of discoveries and delights...and hugs of course
can I believe it's 2007!!! _________________ "I've never accepted the external appearance of things as the whole truth. The world is much more elaborate than the nerves of our eye can tell us." - James Gleeson |

The fireworks from the Sydney bridge over the Opera House was the lead image on one of the opinion pages I check each day. It's what reminded me to say Happy New Year to everyone here. I'll add the mental image of you dancing up there.
As it turns out, I guess you're about the first to experience it and we're about the last here on the West Coast. _________________ God writes a lot of comedy... the trouble is, he's stuck with so many bad actors who don't know how to play funny. -- Garrison Keillor |

Happy New Year folks, may it be even better than 2006. Another year, another dish of goodies! _________________ Confusion comes fitted as standard. |

Make that several dishes of new goodies! Happy New Year to one and all from Canada's capital-----which ushered in the new year with freezing rain making it impossible for me to drive in to town for the Trinidadian New Year's Eve feast I had been sooooooooooooo anticipating. Oh well, i have a standing invitation for next year!! _________________ Vivant Linguae Mortuae!! |

...and Happy New Year from me. Perth was wonderfully warm at 38 degrees. We swam in the ocean every day except the last day when the waves were just a little too big for me. Back in Auckland it is not quite so warm. _________________ Barbara |

Happy New Year to all.
We celebrated with our friends in Washington, the boys let off fireworks - they can't to that in Australia, no fireworks available for sale to the general public, and I started the year off with a (very) quick dip into ice water at Clear Lake on New Years morning. It's an annual tradition and they get heaps of people willing to freeze their extremities off. It was great. _________________ Doing what you like is freedom

We had a mellow evening in New York, complete with much sparkling wine and fabulous burgers. Happy 2007 to all! _________________ Don't forget the cannolis! |

Bonne Annee a tous!
Good wishes also from this quartier.
We also had a fabulous night dancing from 730pm to 4am. Went to a party in Normandy where we had the whole hotel booked for our group. What a night!! Sixty people of all age groups dancing, drinking and feasting together. So much fun.
Very footsore the next day, but worth it.. _________________ If you cannot feel your arteries hardening, eat more cheese. If you can, drink more red wine. Diet is just "die" with a "t" on the end. Exercise is walking into the kitchen. |
