The name "chick lit" often bothers me, but I do enjoy reading it from time to time, especially on planes. I'm sure it would be much more fun to translate than business docs! _________________ Don't forget the cannolis! |

Oy Vei, Oy Vei dear Minty( lamenting words in Yiddish) : 28 years... old??? !!!!
I hope I'm still a chick somewhere , under the layers of hen feathers ( who are quite heavy, I dare say), at 57 going on 58. At least, my head tells me so... until my little grandson hugs (5) brings me back to reality.
I'm just ripe for juicy graany lit. Any suggestions ?( Yes, I've read Lady Chatterlay ).
No more war, let the grannys enjoy the kids' kids. |

49' vintage, you too Madame ! When is your birthday?
Yes, let's focus on love and celebrations, but let's not forget the anti- high - pressure pills, the anti-high cholesterol pills, the fat-less, sugar-free, cholesterol free foods, the aching bones, the multivitamins, etc.
And a lot of hugs with all that, it's good for the soul and for the health too.
No more war, vive the class of 49'! |

But what does a number say anyway...I'm 37, often feel like 3 or 8 years old,(yey!) was 85 at 12, so when will I ever grow up (if ever ) - and where's the girl who was an adult a 15, who still is in puberty, still has a babyface but starts to get wrinkels...who is funloving and kind'a crazy, serious and someone to depend on, I guess that discribes all of us here - no matter what age-sticker we carry... age - as well as the number in kilo's the scale tells us - does not say ANYTHING about who we are, what we've been through, and how we go through life. Or what we like ro read, to get back to the subject.... |

Simona - I know that's what it seems like...but sometimes things in life make you older. So....phase in life? Both closer to your age - and younger then 37(no mommy-lit).Guys I kissed recently?...your age .(not my fault - he started!!)
But I could still read chick-lit.... |

Age? Bah! Humbug! I am 43 going on 18! Fortunately most people think I look 25-ish when they see me. Misbehaviour keeps you looking young... at least, that's my excuse.
Madame is actually 18 as well, she's just dyed her hair to look a little older.
I'd go with Granny Lit too. Tho' for me, there's just lit, for everyone who cares to read it. I liked Bridget Jones' Diary myself, also Kathleen Tessaro's 'Elegance'. Good fun and light. Sometimes that's just what you need.
Minty, sweetheart... you're barely out of your teens! Well that's how it feels to a 43/25 year old like moi. Thinks... I was once that young... no, really! ... sigh! _________________ Confusion comes fitted as standard. |
