This absolutely charmed me this morning. I can't imagine what life was like in the 15th century but it seems as though it must have been more challenging than it is now. Still, they found time to lavish this kind of love and attention on such a small detail.

I will have to agree with you. I have always been fascinated by Ottoman and Byzantine architecture, from all of the little details to the grand buildings like the Hajia Sophia, (I loved reading about Justinian). _________________ "It's watery....and yet there's a smack of ham."

Thank you for bringing that link to our attention. I found it really interesting and such a lovely idea. Can you imagine the hours and hours of work that have gone into some of them!
