The music, voiceover & general pace of this segment is so pleasant.

What a contrast to today's MTV-style kids shows. My daughter wasn't even allowed to watch Sesame Street because it had degenerated into noisy nonsense by the time she was born.

The book "Four Arguments for the Elimination of Television" impressed me mightily when I read it (long ago). I remember the discussion and condemnation of that rapid-fire jumping from one image to another. Of course I watch TV now, but I'll bet the ideas in the book would interest and alarm many parents of wee watchers.

Guess it is why kids get so bored easily these days. Images are always jumping out at them wherever they go.

jenyfari...it's not just kids who get bored so easily...the idea of stopping to smell the rose...or for that matter to stop and reflect on ANYTHING...seems to be beyond imagining for many adults...go go go ....some wouldn't know silence if they fell over it... Wink
