I've got an old ( magazine clipping) recipe for "Oak Leaf Tortes"
which calls for spreading batter in a 4 1/2 inch "oak leaf stencil", which is "available at specialty cookware stores".

Anybody ever see one of these?

The tortes have several layers, alternating oak leaves and almond buttercream.

I threw away the torte picture, just saved the recipe. Individual servings, about 7-8 thin leaf cookies stacked with almond buttercream in between. Special occasion dessert.

A boxful of stencils under my bed! Flora & fauna--my home way too cutesy...
I found "food grade stencils" online, but they are meant for powdered/colored sugar deco. The recipe I have is probably 20 years old.

Let me know how they turn out with the stencils you bought.
