My heart feels as though its gently weeping with thanks...
This man, whose father was a naval architect, gifted us with the joy of The Sydney Opera House. When I take the ferry to Manly...spend a day walking Manly Beach...fish and chips...the ferry back to Circular Quay at dusk...turn that corner and there they are..THE bridge 'n the sails of the Opera House...I faint I do! See, I'm going all goosebumpy at the thought..when in Sydney you simply must take in that experience the ferry at dusk...
Utzon spoke of the sails roof as the fifth facade...oh my..
Never did he get to see it completed...let's not even spend too much time on the why...politics etc ...
A clip on the news this morn ...he said it didn't matter because he had the symphony ..I think he said in his heart...or within him...how about that for an idea..to have a symphony within...
So, on this day, I'll imagine all the chocolate&zucchini folk with symphonies within...
Perhaps you might like to google The Sydney Opera House..then images and float around this wonder for a few moments... _________________ "I've never accepted the external appearance of things as the whole truth. such a pity politics interferred so long ago, although I'm glad to see he finally knew how much we Australians love the Opera House and our enormous pride in the site. _________________ Barbara |

I sang in the Concert Hall a few times when I was at high school, at School Eisteddfods. The accoustics are amazing. _________________ Doing what you like is freedom
