Check this out! It's funny but it's also an awesome production. ...if you know how that works.

That was pretty sweet. Looked like the set of LOTR _________________ "It's watery....and yet there's a smack of ham."

It's what is called a viral campaign sent via email from one person to another, and not shown on TV. Erin it was filmed in New Zealand so LOTR fans will recognise the scenery.
Here's an article on the production.

It's now being shown on TV in Australia. Great, isn't it? I laughed so much when I first saw it - it really did remind me of the British Airways ads. |

I thought it looked familiar. New Zealand is such a beautiful place, I really want to visit. _________________ "It's watery....and yet there's a smack of ham."

Thank you. That is a great add. Very cleverly done. They actually have a series of these type of ads running which are a take off of all the hyped up ads you see for various products.
Another good one is the bundaberg rum commercials. Think they are at www.bundabergrum.com.au or www.bundyrum.com.au... will check and get back.
It is at www.bundabergrum.com.au
You go to latest commercials. There is a whole series of their commercials which are kind of funny.... hope the humour translates into other cultures as it is very Australian.

Thanks for the link, I'll be forwarding it to some friends. Reminded me of the 1970's (or so) Coca-Cola ad on the mountaintop. Must be a challenge to organize that many people! |

Did you check out the link Barbara supplied? Not nearly as many people as it may seem. Nevertheless, what an undertaking! And even if a lot of it is computer generated, it's seamlessly done and still funny as hell. _________________ God writes a lot of comedy... the trouble is, he's stuck with so many bad actors who don't know how to play funny. -- Garrison Keillor |

What a hoot, I just went back to check it now. I figured graphics had to be involved at some point, but only 300 actors? They can do amazing things with technology. Well, like in the LOTR movies as an example. Looked at Debbie's link too, and have SUCH a taste for a Bundy Dry & Lime, it sounds like a blend I'd enjoy. |

I just now got around to viewing the beer ad and it was hilarious. Interestingly enough, I just saw Carmina Burana at the Atlanta Ballet last weekend. I think the next step is to perform the entire piece with a cast of several hundered; as long as I have a mountain top view in New Zealand!! |
