Has anyone gotten involved in a slow food convivia? I'll be returning to the US this summer and think this might be a group I'd be interested in joining!

My involvement with Slow foods has been so far as a producer only, but I can say that do good and valuable work! Our local group here in New Orleans, have worked tirelessly in the aftermath of Katrina, to secure funds seeds, and markets for those local farmers, and fishermen left to pick up the pieces.

THeir help has been and continues to be most valuable, and I for one are happy that they exist!

http://www.slowfoodusa.org/

Food and Wine magazine does write ups on Slow Food gatherings quite often, they sound like a lot of fun. Enjoy!

I was poking around the site and found this, http://www.slowfoodusa.org/raft/index.html . Being from The PNW I had to post it.
