I highly recommend the latest Frances Mayes book A Year In The World. I'm only on the first chapter, Andalucia, and I"m wanting to put Bolero on the stereo and bake an orange cake while dancing the flamenco. My fear is will I want to be making haggis when I read the chapter on Scotland.

hello Barbara Darling..'tis 4.04pm ...friend picking me up at 5..dinner..then ...BROKEBACK again on the big screen!

thought I'd dip in and see what's a happening on C&Z..lo and behold the lovely you Smile

ok, if you do that dancing thing...from my oh so brief experience with flamenco...when you do the hand twisting ...lead with the middle finger..that I can remember..and the joy of the skirt stuff...swish...I took a term and then my darling mama got sick...I can remember dancing in the ward! 'n my niece played the violin...

read away and do let us know more...

tapas 'twould be yummy..and as for those churros..there's a great restaurant in Melbourne that serves THE best...well outside of Spain I guess...the sweet joy of dipping them in chocolate sauce so thick it can stand alone...

haggis eh!

hugs to New Zealand

I love Frances Mayes! She is a fantasic cook, I wish she'd write a cookbook.
Phil loves haggis, and has been looking for it in NYC ever since we got back from England.

Dance away lady!

I'm so overwhelmed by the chapter on Andalusia this morning I ordered two Spanish CD's Frances mentioned. Interstingly Frances is on a speaking tour in NZ and next week will speak at a venue just 1K from my home. Sadly I don't feel well enough to go but it is kind of nice to imagine her and Ed driving past my house.
