After saying welcome back, I will say salute and will be back to play in September. Hope you all have a great summer! _________________ If you cannot feel your arteries hardening, eat more cheese. Thanks for the welcome on my return to C&Z. Since I'm really not a gourmet and not seeking recipes, it was easy to ignore C&Z. Though I did miss most of the regular members and the fun associated with C&Z.
Still no Dairy_Queen. She was like a meteor who had a brief but blazzing career here. That woman could but thorough!
I'll welcome hearing the mystics and their stories. It has never happened to me, so I'll remain skeptical. _________________ ' She says, 'I am the glamorous type.' I said, 'So what?'
Coming from southern California, where buxom produce is so abundant, to the East Coast, where summer brings but a narrow, short-lived selection, I often find myself reminiscing about things like tomatoes, avocados, mangoes, and figs. In fact, I never had an avocado or a fig, or an eggplant till I first moved to California years back.
Anyhow, I dreamt about bushels of figs last night. Plump black mission figs and even made-up (I think) varieties. I should go re-read the fig thread in Recipes.
