I went to the asian grocery shop some days ago and so I happened to have at home all the ingredients ready for a spicy peanut sauce for dipping which can be frozen in small batches as well.

So I spent some time mincing, pounding and frying, and the fragrances arising the mortar each time after adding a new ingredient were so manifold and the resulting sauce sooo much better than storebought peanut sauce, that I'd like to share the link Smile

BTW: the hint "Cut and discard the root tip of the garlic cloves but leave the skin on" before placing them in the oven is very useful. Their soft contents can be scraped out much easier this way Smile
