Hello,

I recently returned to Paris having spent a few wonderful months in London. Whilst away, I thought I'd be a bit healthier than usual and eat pre-prepared meals that are low calorie, low sodium with all the right fats etc. (they weren't frozen - just from the refridgerated section) I know cooking fresh from scratch is probably the healthiest option but cooking doesn't come naturally to me - only eating, I'm afraid!

Well, without even trying, I went down almost two dress sizes and am feeling all the better for it! The trouble is, in London every supermarket has their own excellent range of healthy option prepared meals whereas in Paris the choice of prepared meals is really slim by comparison - and the low calorie, low sodium etc. are a minute part of that small selection.

So apart from the Leader Price 'Fine Ligne' limited range, I can only really find a few Weight Watchers meals. (most are frozen - not fresh) Bon Marche only had 2 WWs meals! I don't eat seafood so the choice is really small if I want to continue keeping the calories and cholesterol low. Does anyone know where they have the best selection of fresh low calorie meals? Any other suggestions? I shop at all the usual supermarkets in Central Paris but I'm sure some areas must have a larger selection than others.

Many thanks.

Ann

I am a 59 year old male that got out of the shower one day and looked in the mirror ....whew. Some how over the past 2 years I had gained 40 pounds. I have been a professional dieter most of my life and wanted to get on a program that wasn't a diet but a change in my eating lifestyle. I researched weight watchers, but I didn't want to go to the meetings,

you will find the same range in every supermarket chain...Casino, Monoprix, etc ...a littel more at Monoprix actually, but you also have a nice choice of low-cal frozen meals at Picard !
