Hello Pistache

I would like to plan a trip to Paris and to the south of France. I would like to take a short-term pastry and culinary workshop that is not very touristy and preferably with "home cooks" - not with restaurant chefs.

Do you have any suggestions or contacts that I may contact?

Merci,
Alice B.

Hi Alice ! To be honest, I don't know anyone who does the sort of thing you are looking for in my part of the world....
I would recommend the Moulin de Mougins, if it is not too "cheffy" for you http://www.avignon-et-provence.com/luxury-hotel-french-riviera/moulin-mougins/cooking-school.htm

I have also heard about this place, but know nothing about it personally http://www.cuisineprovencale.com/

I have friends who run a B&B in SW France. I was there recently, and Ian, the owner/chef, gave us some "hands on" cooking lessons... I am sure that if you went out of season they would happy provide you with one to one cookery lessons... I will contact them for you if you are interested.... http://perso.orange.fr/souvigne/

Hello Pistache

Thank you for your links. This will give me a start as going all over the web is hard somethimes - when you don't know a country.

I am drawn to Provence. Your friends' B & B seem unique. I have already escaped seeing the photos!

Merci.

Alice B.
