Has anyone else checked out Yahoo's new food section? It's got a lot of content there thanks to Martha Stewart's videos, Food & Wine's articles and Rachael Ray's recipes. Has anyone heard of the bloggers featured there? I'd never heard of any, but I'm sure that over time they will catch on. I'm also wondering what this will mean for sites that aren't directly associated with search engines. Reminds me a bit of when Salon.com was very popular, then MSN came along and created Slate and featured Slate on its homepage.

I just took a quick peek at the Yahoo site, and it looks worthwhile. It appears to cover the "Food and Wine" recipe archives. Since Epicurious has both "Gourmet" and "Bon Appetit", it's nice to have the 3rd option as well.

You can still get the Martha Stewart recipes and other material on her own website, and I'm not a Rachael Ray fan, so those two features are less of a draw for me. But having the F&W features available is a plus for me, especially since I let my subscription to that magazine lapse.

Franca, thanks for calling our attention to this site.

There's certainly a lot of information on there - thanks for the link. I'm in the UK, so I wonder if there'll be a British version on yahoo.co.uk.

Rachael Ray doesn't interest me in the least bit, buying all the pre-cut crap that she uses only to assemble those dishes that lack any coherent style. I would rather have root canal than follow a recipe of hers. As for Martha, she is so old school. Give me Michael Mina or Tony Bourdain any day. Have fun on YahooÂ…
