|Egads! I've been out provisioning all evening and I have these potential treats to suggest if you have a Costco near you:
Cookbooks (like I need any more! ...except, of course, for Clotilde's)
Thomas Keller's French Laundry and Bouchon for $35 each (retail $50 each)
America's Test Kitchen Family Favorites for $20 (retail $35)
Bon Apétit for $20 (retail $35 + it includes a subscription card for a year of Bon Apétit mag for free)
Nordicware (the original top quality) bundt pans in the original pattern and several of the newer shapes and patterns for $20 (included is a poly cake plate and interlocking see-through poly cover)
I highly suspect that these are the seasonal things you'll find in any of the US Costcos (but you could call first if you don't want to waste a trip or be disappointed).
I know there are Costcos at least in BC if not major cities around the rest of Canada. But I believe they do their own ordering from domestic Canadian suppliers so they will probably have entirely different stuff.
God writes a lot of comedy... the trouble is, he's stuck with so many bad actors who don't know how to play funny. -- Garrison Keillor
