Thus unusual combination is really very good. Great with coffee of any kind or hot chocolate.

Chocolate Chip-Zucchini Cookies

¾ cup butter or margarine, softened
1 ½ cups sugar
1 large egg
½ tsp. almond extract
1 ½ cups grated zucchini, squeezed
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
½ cup chopped walnuts

Beat butter at medium speed until creamy; gradually beat in 1 ½ cups sugar. Beat in egg and almond extract. Press grated zucchini between paper towels and squeeze out extra liquid. Stir into butter mixture. Combine flour, powder and cinnamon; gradually add to butter mixture, beating at low speed until blended. Stir in nuts and chips. Drop by heaping teaspoon onto lightly greased cookie sheets. Bake at 350 for 15 minutes (they won’t be very brown on top), let sit on pan for 1 minute, remove to wire racks. When partially cooled, dust with powdered sugar through a mesh strainer. Yield 4 dozen.

Do you mean translating my "American" language to "English" or the measurements and temperature? If you mean the measurements why don't you just buy yourself a set of "cups" and "spoons"? Problem solved. Hope you enjoy the cookies.

American cups and spoon sizes are different to English, Australian, New Zealand etc etc etc. Each country has its own "cup size".

Biscuits sound interesting though. Might give them a try when I get gifted with zucchinis this year. Wink

I guess I learn something new everyday. I lived in Germany for a few years and all the recipes were in grams so I never knew that about cups. I never learned to convert them either, just used ratios.

I discovered this recipe when my neighbor gave me some HUGE zucchini one summer and I couldn't let them go to waste. Between the cookies and zucchini bread it was all zucchini, all the time.
