I bought a book some time ago that has a lot of New Yorker Cartoons as well as a CD with all of the cartoons on over a certain period from about the 1920s to the 1980s I think. They are fab.

Definitely pedigree cartoons. Tho' my favourites here are Steve Bell and Martin Rowson. Bell is just funny, but Rowson has a dark scabrous sharp edge too.

Thank you Madame! Thoroughly enjoyed these!

Framed next to my spice cabinet-- 2 elf gentlemen, with little hats and smoking little pipes, sitting on large toadstools. The elder one is speaking:
"You'll find there's no connection. Some that are comfortable to sit on are not safe to eat, and some that are not comfortable to sit on are safe to eat."

A famous New Yorker food cartoon-- Couple sitting at dinner table, wife saying gently "It's broccoli, dear." Husband retorts-- "I say it's spinach, and I say the hell with it!"
