Fourty!!! The fourties were my best years in many ways. I had finally learned the constructive virtues of not giving a damn.
By 44 I hope you're well into the empowerment of it and enjoying it immensely. I know we all enjoy your unbridled spirit immensely.
Happy Birthday, dear Griffin! And many, many more! _________________ God writes a lot of comedy... the trouble is, he's stuck with so many bad actors who don't know how to play funny. -- Garrison Keillor |

Aw sh-shucks thanks gingerpale, ffolks! Ffortunately I still look like I'm in my thirties while having the ffiendishness of my fforties! Heh, heh!
Aahh, fforty-ffour on a Ffriday!
Rainey,
I already have the virtue of not giving a damn thanks to being taught so by my mum! She also taught me to make sure my spirit remained unbridled - a free-thinking, unconventional way of looking at things.
I also find myself looking at the students around me at work and occasionally worrying about them - they don't dress nearly warmly enough and I want to look after some of them!!! I'm not a father and I'm getting broody!!! _________________ Confusion comes fitted as standard. |

Rainey and Griffin, for people who don't "give a damn" you both sure care a lot,

No Griffin, it's 22 twice...... At least that is what my husband told everyone when he reached 44.
Your parcel is still sitting in my kitchen, and Guy is so curious about it! He keeps smooging it and investigating the wrapping..... must post soon or he will have it unwrapped for you.
So, how was the day? What nice things are you doing for yourself this weekend? _________________ If you cannot feel your arteries hardening, eat more cheese. If you can, drink more red wine. Diet is just "die" with a "t" on the end. Exercise is walking into the kitchen. |

Debbie,
I am tempted to say, wrap him up and send him... but I know how much you love him and would miss him. What a cat!
Any day now I shall be ready to get something off to you too... any day now, honest! (Gwan Griffin, get on with it!)
Judy,
I was working on Friday, but as note-taker for students with disabilities, I got some interesting lectures and felt almost as young as the students... almost! I had Nationalism in the morning and Career Management in the late afternoon... with er, Rapid Prototyping in between!!!
Otherwise it's been a quiet birthday, but I did have coffee and cake in the morning and a sparkling Aussie chardonnay in the evening with Chinese takeaway for a treat. I am waiting on two pairs of high heels for my collection too, one pair of wedges in black and gold and a pair of platforms in red patent leather. I already have a pair of shoe-boots for the collection. And I read the new ELLE and Vogue to see what was new and to look out for. This contemporary collecting can be such fun!
Now when Barbara is over in Paris in the Spring... then we shall see what we shall see!!! Hmm, what to get a Barbara who has everything?! _________________ Confusion comes fitted as standard. |
