One popular fold I do is a purse (not the handbag as we call it) a small wallet where the folds 'lock' the model into place. I have made lots for friends and even the occasional amazed stranger.
Proper Origami is no cuts or glue and one sheet of paper. That's part of the challenge. I still have four books by Robert Harbin from the 1970s with lots of models in. The famous model that everyone knows is the stork a lovely model and the stork is a symbol of long life too so very popular.
I'd love to have a go at Lang's Scorpion tho' and the Elk. Makes me want to go and study those books again. The 'Crease Patterns' look scary to me tho'. I'm used to diagrams that show how you fold the thing step by step. Many models are easier than they look, but that's part of the fun. _________________ Confusion comes fitted as standard.
