I had ordered this book some time ago from "Books for Cooks" in Notting Hill but hadn't taken the opportunity to use it until recently. Wow! Excellent recipes so far. His suggestions for braising veg are great - simple but very, very tasty. Also, we made his lamb ragout with turnips - excellent smell with great taste. And he is quite right - tastes best after a day.
He apparently has a new cookbook out - A Chef's Year - have a New Year's resolution to NOT buy any more books for a while so can't indulge. Maybe in the spring/summer. |

I haven't bought one of his cookbooks but I think I will this summer. I'm a fan of his from the tv show Masterchef, along with fellow presenter John Torode who I like too. He's a sexy Aussie chef. Must go to his Smithfields restaurant in London one day. _________________
