Does anyone know the best place for Luneville china in Paris ? We are coming over for a few days at the end of the week and I need to replace a plate or two from my 32 year old service ! Obviously a good price is needed in these cash crunch times ! Thank you, GB _________________ My late father's favourite saying: "The bucket's always half full" |

You may need to look up the manufacturers website (if the company is still around etc) and see where they sell their goods. Then I would check out those places in case they can access old stocks.
Other place is in the Puce at Clignancourt. There is a stall there that matches old china and crystal. Cannot remember the name of it though. It is not in the front bit that is all temporary stalls. It is in the back bit where the stalls are permanent, along rue des rosiers. Cannot remember if it is Paul Bert or Serpette marches which is the one. Sorry.
You will need more than a few days though. They may need to track down the pattern and so you might have to leave it with them and have them contact you when it is found.
Good luck! _________________ If you cannot feel your arteries hardening, eat more cheese. If you can, drink more red wine. Diet is just "die" with a "t" on the end. Exercise is walking into the kitchen. |

Have you checked replacements.com? I was able to replace some of my grandmother's china, which is quite old. I've had lots of luck with this company. They do ship overseas (it is a U.S. based company), but the shipping rates might be prohibitive. Their packaging is superb - everything has always arrived safely. Additionally, I've been very pleased with their customer service.
Here is a link to Luneville page - perhaps your pattern is there.
