Oh when you go to mls.ca, click on Residential Properties, then it'll let you search for the property.

Leaving such a lovely place full of wonderful memories has to be difficult and bittersweet. May you always look back with joy on the years you spent here. And now, off to new adventures in a fabulous new place! How exciting and brave! We all need a good "jumpstart" every once in a while. Start making new memories and fill your new home with joy, laughter, and great kitchen aromas Very Happy

Best of luck, David!

Thank you David, what fun to see the legend (sans snowdrifts this time!)
Someone will snap this up and fill it with footsteps (human, canine, feline.)
And you have found smaller sexier subtler digs (suitable for a bookish gentleman.) You'll teach the Prince David County Peninsula Crown Crowd that speedboats and silk sheets can't compete with serious satire and stir fry.

Can I buy it and move in immediately please!!!

Then I will just need a menagerie of furbabies to make it complete. Laughing

David, your house is beautiful! What's news on it? Offers? Already sold?

Wow, what a roller coaster. As of Friday I sold the house, but there proved to be so many issues with it, foundations, water, masonry, ants, squirrels, well that i took a real hit on the price. As a result I won't be able to fulfill my fantasy of moving to THE COUNTY, but maybe down the road. Am now actively looking for some new digs here in the city proper,w hich should at least offer me a change of lifestyle even if not the one I was aiming for!

Congratulations David! I'm sorry you didn't get the price you were hoping for, but now you can move forward to the next exciting episode in your life.

Good luck with the move ... and with finding somewhere new. I've always believed that the right house finds the right owner. I'm sure you'll find something perfect.

Oh dear, the old house had a few secrets, huh? (I like squirrels myself!)

Your Ottawa bookstore is in the city where you now might live, yes? So you already have friends there? Country to city could be stimulating, though country to County sure sounded nice!

Surely the squirrels are your secret army of deadly ninja squirrels? They'll of course, move with you. As for the ants, so wot? They are only little. Venice is built on the water, describe the house as Venetian!! As for the masonry and foundations... sorry, can't help you there.

Chasing the deadly ninja squirrels has kept my dogs young for many years! The thigh muscles on Mouse are a wonder to behold! Unfortunately they had taken over the roof of the main part of the house. I was not unaware it was happening but I like squirrels too!

Will be heading out tomorrow to see a number of prospects. It will be good actually to be closer to all my friends here in the city! When I find the new place I'll post the mls.ca # so you can see where the furry ones and I will abide.

Meanwhile I got a brief phonecall last night from the front in Afghanistan Smile

As of July 15th my new home will be:

www.mls.ca #760950

It's the best kitchen I will ever have had to play in! Can hardly wait to have an oven again!

Am very happy with this!

Thank you all for all your kind thoughts and words.
