I'm looking for information on All Inclusive Beach Resorts in Australia, probably Queensland and NSW but I'd certainly be curious about W. A. as well. My friend will be on leave at the end of Oct-early Nov and just wants to veg out on a beach and read and carouss for a few weeks. Any suggestions would be happily passed along!

For Oct/nov you are better off further north. The water will be cold, but less so than NSW and further south.

There are good packages for places like Great Keppel Island and the other islands scattered along the Queensland coast.

I love Western Australia and a visit to Cable Beach is stupendous for sun, beach and relaxation!!!! Also extremely interesting part of the country and the views are breathtaking. Very romantic too........ Wink

If you want more info PM me with your ideas and I will tell you what region to pick.

David I wouldn't consider south at all. Go for either Whitsundays or Great Barrier Reef region. My first choice if money no object would be Hayman Island. I don't think it is all inclusive though.

In the same region is Club Med Lindeman Island which is all inclusive including drinks. I've stayed there 3 times when my son was working there. Each visit was different and our experience came down to who was the Chief of Village at the time. One visit was okay, one was great, and one was absolutely fantastic. If he does decide to go there book early and request a room on the beach to the right of main dining area...and avoid school holiday time as it is family friendly. Not a great swimming beach but has two pools - one is adults only.

I don't know about any of the other island resorts in the region. Most of them do attract families with kids (except Hayman).

This is quite a good site.

Ocean swimming is seasonal - http://www.qldbeaches.com/stingers.html

Let me know if there is anything else I can do for you David.

Thanks Barbara, I'll pass this all along to my Mr.. I thought you had a connection to Club Med Lindeman! Hayman is out of his budget but the other sites could well be of great interest. While the beach is of importance actual swimming isn't!

hugs to you and Debbie for your assistance.
