Hello every1 -
I have been wondering whether it wouldn't be a bad idea to have a place where we can collect the recipes that everyone is so frequently supplying. A sort of 'community recipes' collection.
Any ideas? |

That's a good idea Lakritz. There are stacks of good recipes hidden throughout the forums but unless you know what forum they occurred in there is no way of finding them. They are often off topic or tangential to the forum's title so it isn't just a matter of checking out the titles. Sadly I haven't a clue how to do this! _________________ Vivant Linguae Mortuae!! |

That's just it - but hopefully, at some point, there will be somebody who knows. I'm sure we'd all benefit from it. |

This is a great idea! I think what we could do is have another section on the forums, perhaps just below "Cooking and Eating" that would be called "community recipes", in which I and the other moderators would copy the interesting recipes that have been posted elsewhere. Unfortunately this will have to be done manually which means it won't be 100% failproof (i.e. a recipe might slip us by) but it's a start, and if people see a recipe that should go in there they could let me know!
What do you say? |

Sounds good - though a lot of work for you, Clotilde!
- So, maybe, from now on, we should drop any recipe that we want to share on a thread immediately under that heading and just refer to it in the thread? That way, there'd only be a backlog... |

That's a good idea Lakritz -- I think not everyone would know to do this so we would still need to copy recipes when the need arises, but if people post them there right away it would indeed make it easier! |

I belong to a forum where we have an entire recipe section by *type* of foods.
We have almost an entire cookbook there! |
