Hello,

For my assignment on molecular gastronomy, I've found some great souces - Fenix with Raymond Capaldi, William Angliss Tafe and some
internet sources.

But what I'd really like to get is some opinions on the restaurants I can't access overseas and thought this board will be a good place to gather feedback.

Has anybody visited any restuarants specialising in moloecular gastronomy - el Bulli, Anthony's, Fat Fuck, the one in Chicago...etc...and is anyone willing to give me a breif statement about what you thought of the restuarant - did it meet your expectations, and why did you decide to try it etc?

PM me your responses, or leave them in this thread.

I hope you can help - you have pointed me into some great areas of research in my previous posts, thanks!

Carly

Hello Carly,
Try PIM's blog ( you can find her on the list of C&Z favourite blogs.
It's a nice blog, and lovely PIM seems to live in five stars restaurants. She had several posts about the mentioned molecular food laboratories... sorry I meant molecular food restaurants. I'm sure her blog will of great help, and of course you can try to contact her .

Good luckk and ... Bon Appetit????

No more war, more good food!

Carly, I haven't been in much of a giggly mood of late but please reread your post carefully---especially where you list the restaurants. I'm still giggling.

There is a lavish hardcover photo book which came out in August 2005 called El Bulli:1998-2002. It is horrifyingly expensive but if you can get a look at it you will have a good idea of what they have been up to.

Giggling - me too David...and my husband. Carly - you could leave it there or you could edit the post. But thanks for the good laugh this morning.

I've seen the El Bulli book also. Incredible pictures.
