A friend called asking for help in planning a trip, which is right up my alley. The only bad part is she doesn't know where it is she wants to go.

She had read an article about a hot spring in Northern Europe somewhere, possibly Finland. I know this is so random, but have any of you heard of a place that fits the description?

I am off to try google, I hope it gives me more info that she did.

If your friend want hot springs, Iceland is the place to go. I haven´t been there myself but my sister-in-law was there for a weekend last year and had a great time. There is a spring called the blue lagoon which is very famous where you can swim all winter. Maybe that is the one she read about. The landscape on Iceland is spectacular and you can go horseback riding and hiking and such like. Also the country´s history is really interesting.

Hope that this is some help! I have not heard of hot springs anywhere else in northern Europe (there are some in Greece though)

Stina74,

I did a bit of research, and that is exactly the place I came up with. I found some great spas in Finland and Sweden, bt no hot springs. Thanks for your help.
